EAG VOLUNTEERS
As we gear up to the next season of shows and programs for the guild, we need volunteers to help in some key areas. Please commit to at least 4 hours per year in any of the following volunteer opportunities. If each member gave only 4 hours, we would never need to ask for help!
Volunteers Needed
Closet Chaos Conquerors Needed!!
We store a wide range of supplies in our tiny closet and *wow* is it crowded and inefficient! Gallery Exhibits, Programs, Art in Wilder Park, & Hospitality committees are seeking to create a new committee of volunteers to help solve our closet organization problems. Organization, interior design and carpentry advice welcome! We’d like to have a meeting in the gallery to discuss ideas some time in June. Single Event Needs - Membership not required
Help hang a show with the Gallery Crew
Volunteer at an opening reception with our Hospitality Chair, Julie Mars. Set up food, serve drinks (if you have a Basset license), set-up for bigger events, or stay to clean up.
Gallery sit for EAG shows (Docent)
The EAG docent will act as a “gallery sitter”, someone to sit at the desk in the gallery and answer any questions about the Guild and the exhibit on display during Museum open hours.
Volunteer at Art in the Park
Volunteers don’t need to be guild members! This is a great way to welcome the wider community and bring fresh skills into our organization.
EAG Committees
OPEN POSITION: Publicity: Photographer
This volunteer would be able to attend opening receptions of EAG gallery shows and take photos of attendees, award winners, and artwork to be used in EAG publicity and social media. No special equipment required, even a current cell phone would do. Images would be sent to the Publicity chair. For details, please contact Moni Kupisch at publicity@elmhurstartistsguild.org.
OPEN POSITION: Programs Committee Co-Chair
This committee chair is responsible for the design and execution of all Guild artistic programs. If you are interested, please contact Joe Abboreno at president@elmhurstartistsguild.org. These include but are not limited to:
The selection, scheduling and introduction of regular member meeting demonstrators,
The design and scheduling of Guild sponsored workshops, and
The design, schedule and implementation of any Guild sponsored educational
activities.
